Apr 20, 2015 April Showers Can't Dampen D.C. United Dreams Embrace the Magical Powers of the Headband Who would have thought that a team shorn of its most dangerous player for six games, its Designated Player to health issues, its biggest off-season international signing and its breakout star rookie centerback of last season would still be in the hunt for top slot in the East? Certainly not those putative experts who assumed Ben Olsen's side would be mired far from the top at this stage of the season. Olsen's Army says Don't Worry, Be Happy Thanks to a free kick golazo by Chris Rolfe and some fine goalkeeping by Bill Hamid's last minute stand-in Andrew Dykstra, D.C. United was able to cobble together a tie against the Houston Dynamo to put them even on points in the standings with the leaders in the Conference. That's right - the team has survived and even thrived during the early season and now looks forward to the return of Fabi Espindola to ignite the offense! We Are United Although we won't have another home game until the Columbus Crew come to visit RFK in a couple of weeks, we certainly had fun in Lot 8 on Saturday. Despite all the events in town, our volunteers managed to put on another fabulous tailgate for our futbol family and deserve a rest until May 2nd! Our Team. Each Other. Our Community.
